# Stacked Bar Charts

To select bar / column charts, you select *Bars* in the menu. To create a column chart switch the orientation to *Time*.

#### Stacking Values

The stacked bar charts stacks measures on top of each other. When in Stack Mode, the dimension in the Stack / Column field is used to create a segment for each combination of measure and member.

#### Grouping

When you are selecting *Column Mode* you get bar charts grouped in columns by the *Stack / Columns* dimension.

#### Expanding

When you expand a node in a stacked bar chart, the sub categories are shown in place:
